Angkor Wat & Angkor Thom
Angkor Wat is the largest religious monument in the world! It was built in the beginning of the 12th century! We woke up at 4am to go down to the lobby of our hostel and get a ride to Angkor Wat to watch the sun rise over the temple. It took us about 3 hours to get through the temple. After Angkor Wat we went over to Angkor Thom, which is the temple with the big faces below!

Tonlé Sap Floating Markets
The trek out to the floating markets was through the barren wasteland you see below. You drive for awhile through dried up fields until you get to the markets below where the buildings are on stilts! That's because in a few months all of that land will be deep in water and everywhere will have to use boats to get around! You can see the standard of living in these markets is quite low, but they are still really happy people! The kids run around playing with their friends and waving furiously to tourists! Once past the markets and local temples we hopped on a boat to go out on Tonlé Sap lake to watch the sunset on a floating restaurant! The lake is so big you can't see an ending in any direction, and it's the dry season! We were some of the lucky few who got to ride on top of the roof of the boat for it all!
Our Hostel, Pub Street, and the Art Center Night Market
We stayed at a hostel called Mad Monkey. It was super nice with a pool and a rooftop bar! It was located right next to the famous Pub Street. We tried all kinds of different local beers, and even tried a roasted baby snake from a vendor! After that we went a little further to the Art Center Night Market, which had all kinds of different things you could buy! I grabbed a few souvenirs here :)
Renting Quads
One of my favorite parts of the night was when we rented quads and drove through rural Cambodia! It was really cool to see the cows walking all over and watch the sunset over the fields...though it made me quite homesick to be riding quads through the fields! Nonetheless, it was a lot of fun and the girls I went on the trip with were so much fun! I'm really going to miss all these amazing people that I've met abroad!
