Filipino Fun in Cebu!

The Philippines was definitely one of my absolute favorite trips of the entire semester! The tropical paradise completely blows you away. The sky and the water are the most amazing blues you've ever seen and the people the are complete gems! The photo on the first row is where we stayed the first night so we could wake up and swim with the whale sharks in the morning! The whale sharks were absolutely massive and so majestic when they swam swiftly past you in the water. They are super calm animals and we were taken out on boats and hopped into the ocean to watch them at 6am in the morning, so we got a really amazing sunrise out of it as well! After the whale sharks we went out to an super small island right off the coast and soaked up the sun for the rest of the day.

The next day we moved to a new hostel, Noordzee, about an hour away that had an amazing view of the ocean and massages on the beach that were to die for. We took a bus a few hours away and went canyoneering during the day, which was so crazy! We were driven by a dirt bike up on top of a mountain and then we hiked along a trail until we came to a drop, where we jumped off into the water! Then we swim forward and keep hiking until we get to the next cliff to jump off! We jumped off about 6 cliffs! The highest cliff was so high that we had to get a running start just to get the courage to go!

We also joined in on the karaoke next door with the locals and a few guys from South Africa that night, which was an absolute blast! We rocked "country roads take me home" and "summer of 69" and many other classics!
