Tioman Island has been my favorite place so far! It was so remote and beautiful! At the top you can see the jungle we had to hitch a ride through to get to our beach shack on the other side! We lucked out and the worker took us to the wrong shack, so we payed for the cheapest room and got to stay in the most expensive suite! On the top floor we had a queen size bed and the bottom floor we had a kitchen area and bathroom/shower, as well as hammocks on our porch! We even had hammocks in front of the shack in the sand!
We also saw so many animals on the trip! There was wild chickens and cats running around the island, as well as the large lizard you can see there called a monitor. We also went snorkeling our second day around the island, which has world renowned coral reefs! I put a few pictures of the kinds of fish and reefs that we saw! We even saw a reef shark in the water, which I included in the pictures above. My favorite fish were the parrot fish (the rainbow one above) and the nemo's in their anemones!
After that we went on a hike through the jungle to the waterfall! It had just rained so it was SO slippery. I almost fell down a huge hill. My friend Hannah actually tripped and fell into the waterfall, to which I doubled over in laughter.
The beaches were absolutely breathtaking though. That is the part that I will miss the most. The sound of the waves was so loud as we layed in our room on the beach! The entire trip only cost me $150 too! Malaysia is super cheap to visit from Singapore. I truly hope to return someday!
